Lexus is something else (+)

I admit I am beginning to see the side of this sub forum that I did not b4.
edit: what happens when uninvited people crash events and complain (to be fair how can you organize the pro instructors and vehicles, if people show up randomly because they are current owners, wealthy, or some other exception). It was awesome, and free, with professional instruction. Worth every minute of my precious time, and wifey agreed! Maybe nothing good lasts forever.

For my husband and myself, sometimes expectations can change when you try things or do things that are not so clouded with a closed mind or blinders point of view. We generally are fans of Toyota and Lexus, but lately we have been having some evolving changes in the way we feel about some brands. For example, we were never fans of Nissan’s before, but we did a paid evaluation for Nissan where we got to try out the Nissan Rogue. We found out why it is so popular, loads of features and a fantastic ride and easygoing interior set up. Lots of cargo room, we believe we would rather have a Rogue than the RAV4 I could go on about all kinds of stuff on different things but I mostly fascinated when I find something that totally changes my expectations.
Sometimes it take a strange turn of events to change expectations or learn something. For example, I have always had a difficult time equated a music band and their particular songs. Not the biggest fan of music but I knew the song but did not know the band. Recently, we went to the movies and we saw the the commercial for Bohemian Rhapsody, it featured five of the Queen songs, it took that two and half minutes to discover who Queen was and what their songs were even though I knew the songs. My expectations of the band Queen have now been changed forever.

Corvettes have a stigma. Chevrolet badge I guess
Another odd favourite of my husbands is the Acura RDX. I can’t stand it but he loves it. He took a test drive for fun and just adores it.

The question about "ethics" and "class" IMHO comes from the discussion about walking into a car dealership cold, and pretending to be interested in a car and make the salesperson go out with you on a test drive when you have no intention of even considering purchasing the car. Thats a waste of the salespersons time, hard to argue that it isn't IMHO.
Not sure what "side" of the forum you're seeing. Are people bad people for valuing other people's time above their own enjoyment? IMHO thats a positive thing not a negative thing.
There's no question that Freddie Mercury (Queen's front-man) was a very talented musician, had an attractive smooth voice, and could sing and play in a variety of different forms. I thought, however, that the song "Bicycle" they did was a little juvenile, and didn't care for his wild outfits and cross-dressing lifestyle.

let the salesperson go attend to someone who's closer to buying.

re: accepting an uber expensive dinner from a vendor a person being treated has ZERO interest in doing business with.
Its one thing to go out to dinner and then decide doing business together isn't a good fit. If your boss has a vendor buy you and him dinner at the Capital Grille and he knows he will absolutely not do business with him regardless of what he learns at the dinner, then sorry but he's an a-hole.

better watch out, Johnhav430 will get his lawyer buddy to talk to his boss to see if they can sue you for having an opinion.

That salesman might have missed a customer they could have actually sold a car to while he was out riding around with you with no change to sell you a car. THATS whats not right about it. If you've never worked in 100% commissioned sales or been in business for yourself you just don't get it. The guy who rode with you on that worthless test drive isn't getting paid to do that.
now that's funny... yeah i'd say you're not into music much!
