To your point, let's just say I was "curious" what would happen if brake fluid were spilled on a car. My impression would be that the paint would be eaten, gone, etc. There are actual youtubes where people tested it, and the results are surprising.

If you do get light (surface) scratches, SCRATCH-OUT (which I've recommended on Car Chat many times) will go through them like butter.
