With the recent discovery of the "RC 350" trademark, Lexus' parent company Toyota Motor Corporation has put in another filing for the trademark "RC F" in the United States & Europe. While RC F could simply stand for "Really Cool Feature", we believe this may be Lexus' real answer to the king of the hill, BMW M3.

Although we are just speculating on what RC F stands for, we couldn't help but dream about what an RC F really could be!

that new IS shape really works well with coupe :-)

Now we are talking i have been waiting for this thread to come up here on CL for sometime.. In saying that i am mos def looking forward to the CR F-sport and the ultimate CR-F coupe.Thanks for Flipside909 for this update.
I want to highlight first that this coupe direct compention would be new BMW 4 Series coupe,Audis A-S,RS 5,Mercs C,C63 coupes from the German stable.

For my personal piont of view there are two critial elements which could make CR F-sport,CR-F a winner in this class.

1.The entire body sctrucure compose of Carbon fibre( aftermanth of LFA production) lightness should be an obession here keep curb wieght down say at 1300kg.
2.The chassis i am strong believe in GT86/FR-S chassis for a coupe TMC should ensure the Chief engineer of the GT86/FR-S should collaborate with Chief engineer of the current IS-F to extended the chassis of GT86/FR-S this would be big home run form TMC.

If these two can be adpoted Lexus CR coupes would dominate this segement.
Finally it is interesting that Jeremny Clarksson love the both GT86 and the LFA. Lexus should take him seriously just on that alone.

When I think of RC I think of a ghetto cola from the 80s or remote control cars. Not feeling the lettering. Why not just ISF-R???

 

they dont want to use IS name... they want its own name so they can charge more, like what A5 does.
And what 4 series will be doing.
