Did they move the gas tank to the passenger side of the car? Oh no! I am going to be confused for a few months.....

I have to say I'm super-impressed with the way this design turned out. I never NEVER thought I'd be saying this, but the spindle grille looks damn fine even with the blacked-out splitter, and I was die-hard dead set against it on the GS. To me, all of these LS updates really flow together, front to back. Very nicely done, Lexus.
(But I still gak every time I see that weird seam across the front of the new ES's hood. There's no explaining that one.)

That's the best way I have heard it described yet. I just think of the departure that each generation LS had from the next. This is far far less of a departure in the styling department than any other LS generation in Lexus history. Not saying its bad , but I was just expecting something a little less familiar. I hope the interior is very different at least

I'm really dissapointed of how great the new LS is going to look... its gonna make the 4GS look like ****E! im still keeping my fingers crossed for a GS F with the 4GS model refresh and hopefully it looks ALOT like this... so far this is the best 4 Door Sedan on the road... and it has'nt even hit the road yet. Hope Lexus trolls are reading this...

Using your logic the 4GS is still a 3GS since it's the same engine and chasis.
In my book, a new styling change is a new generation. I do understand what you're getting at. I stopped counting and dividing the models a long time ago. Seems all the brands do so much model sharing the lines have become to vague to stick to generational divides.
I like how BMW and Porsche use numerical designations to seperate the models even if there are parts being shared from one model year to the next. The number assignment simply identify the current car.

Interior Design
I was at a Lexus meeting recently and saw int pics of the new LS. Just take a GS interior and imagine a little more refinement. And yes, the 12.3 screen will be in the vehicle.
