If BMW can build something that can surpass and exceed the Alpina B7, then I say hell yeah bring it on.
If they would want to up the insanity level even more, they could probably make something that would match the S65 AMG >>>>>>which could prompt Audi to consider making an RS8 >>>>>>and may persuade and convince Lexus to release a LS-F model for the next-gen LS (using ideas from the Lexus LS TMG edition)
Indeed:
This is now an era for premium bad-*** flagship saloons

But unless you’re an auto enthusiast, you may not know the difference from the s350 and the s65, which they get away with it but the model dilution makes me wonder sometimes for some shoppers do they think “do I want to be seen in a car that someone with half the money can afford”…..

True story...last year in the U.K more Ferrari 599s were sold than 550 BMWs. So crazily enough a S65 might be more rare than a Bentley though as J.P is stating to most people its just an "S-class" which sells in droves.
To me the 7 series with M bits would look awesome.

True
However, I'm thinking it's because that (I'm not 100% sure on this) well.......I reckon most BMW 5s sold there are company cars or fleet cars. So yeah, most would be either the 4 or 6 cylinder diesel models and the four-cylinder petrol units. Then a small minority would be yeah some of the other variants.
I think for the UK and rest of Europe, they sell more M5s than regular V8 5er (550, 540, etc.).
Maybe someone in UK/Europe can confirm this? (calling Big Andy, etc.)
Indeed
And apparently, the thought of an M7 is getting another step closer from dream to reality........with BMW announcing copyright and trademark for an "M7"
Hopefully this will ultimately lead to a real-life M7 (which is NOTHING that Alpina can ever match)
