If one looks really close, the Avalon has the last gen push button black square keyless entry on the door handles. Not exactly up to date newer tech like the door handles on the RX etc.
FAIL! the 3/4 panel already looks dated. I don't know whats going on with Toyota, not only are all the recent designs bulbous,
curvy and amorphous but they all look Camry-esque Are those the Toyota version of the ES350 tailights ??
This is a 1/2 %$# redesign....this seriously can't be the Avalon they will produce for the next 6 years can it?
Absolutely not. This is essentially the same car that's already been out for 6 years. This won't go more than 2 years. Any more would be ridiculous. Remember, the current model came out in 2005 which is more than a life time in the car world.

Just a mid-cycle face lift. Even though it is already OVER DUE for a full redesign. A full redesign is defined as being ALL new with the possible exception of carrying over an engine and/or transmission.

That would make the life-cycle of the car 9 years. That's unacceptable.
Toyota better have an all new, much more remarkable Avalon for the 2013 model year (2 years).
Could it be that this is just an attempt to extend the Avalon's life long enough for Toyota to decide if the car still makes marketing sense to continue?

Toyota should know this. If there is a business case to sell the GX460 or 4runner then there is a case for the Avalon. Toyota's resources are spread thin and likely the held in back...they did this with the last gen Corolla and 100 series Land Cruiser and LX which lasted 10 model years

What a crock of crap from Toyota! This was no redesign and there was no reason to give this car a SECOND facelift. FAIL on both accounts. And how stupid do they think we are? Don't they realize some poeple follow this stuff and know when the model debuted and how old it is? This is nothing more than Toyota being cheap and then trying to pull a fast one on the public. All during a time when they are desperately trying to build credibility?!? SHAME!
ok, yeah its not the sexiest beast by a long shot but it'll probably do what its made for very well... but why buy this when you can buy a Camry or the next logical jump, the ES... i wonder what a slammed avalon on rims would look like
