I was watching an old Top Gear episode and J. Clarkson mentioned that the Koeniggsegg CCX has the record for the highest recorded speeding ticket at 242 mph
I looked it up and found a couple of places that mention that it was in a CCX in Texas in 2003 during the gumball ralley
I found this on wikapedia
During its review of the CCX, BBC television program Top Gear reported that the Koenigsegg CCR holds the fastest speeding ticket in the United States, which was supposedly for 242 mph (389 km/h) in a 75 mph (121 km/h) zone [7] This allegedly occurred in May 2003 in Texas on the San Francisco to Miami Gumball 3000 Rally.[8
Then as I did a bit more searching I found a couple of reports that in fact it was a Bugatti driven my some 22 yr old mogul. This was also mentioned on Top Gear. I found a copy of the ticket (supposed) but I cant get the entire thing on the screen so the computer says its to large so I dropped a link to a copy.http://www.carbibles.com/blog/upload...ket-712558.jpg
I wanted to know what you guys have heard. Can you imagine doing 240 mph on a public highway. even in the most remote area it would be risky.
I found this clip of top gear talking about the Veyron 210+ ticket. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/yt-cQi...in_california/

I wonder what the highest-recorded speeding-ticket fine was.......or the longest recorded jail sentence for speeding? (assuming that the license was not not permanently revoked, and the sentence was for just speeding, and not in combination with other offenses)

I refuse to believe that there is anywhere where one could get a Buggati up to 240 on a public street. It takes a lot and perfect tuning for the Veyron to even reach that speed in the hands of its engineers.
Texas, particularly in the west, has some long stretches of straight road with almost no traffic.
