I'd actually say the 2004 LS 430 was a massive improvement over the previous model. I'm expecting at least Remote Touch and automatic bi-xenons, maybe but very unlikely Valvetronic. Hopefully HUD, Night View, and front wide angle camera as well.
I would say Remote Touch would probably not show up on the refresh. Integrating Remote Touch into the LS dashboard would require redesigning the entire dash to allow for a raised and farther-back screen and relocation of the gear shifter to make room for the Remote Touch pad.
There are too many E-class cars on the road. Much like a BMW 3, there is very little that is truly special about that car in traffic and you can't stand out unless you have the AMG version. It is to the luxury car world what the F-150 is to the truck world.
That must be the reason why Lexus sells so few GS's...trying to maintain exclusivity
It's sad for Toyota/Lexus, but I like driving a car that I don't see around every streetlight. My wife's RX is the worst. My cars are always ones that I don't see very often.
that's because the GS offers too little for the money.
IMO, most people who buy this model (performance mid-luxury class) don't opt for the GS because it lacks "performance" compare to the Bimmer and Benz. Plus all the car magazines place this car last in most comparisons don't help either (not that there opinions matter to me).
That all depends on who is buying it. I find my GS 350 has too much power for stop and go traffic, which is what I do 5 days a week. Likewise, getting 15 mpg is pretty pathetic as well (which is what I get, 100% city driving).
Love the rarity factor though, as I've only seen about 2 in the last couple of months.
I doubt they will sell more GSs per month until the next model comes out, as the price tag really doesn't justify buying a car that is essentially unchanged since 2005/6 (2007 model year w/engines; 2006 for design).

I know the GS is a quick car indeed, the E-Class simply outclasses it in other aspects rear and front headroom, trunk space. There's a reason to why E-Class simply outsells the GS.
Benz's suck period. This one is no different. My c-class has given me below avg reliability. This will be our last MB. Sure MB's give you the 'status' but that's it. New C63's are crap. Lots of problems reported on these beasts.
