I've been waiting for Lexus to update the SC 430 for what seems like a decade now and since they refuse to update the electronics etc....I have purchased a Mercedes 09 SLK 350 AMG. I still have my IS250 but with no news from Lexus on the update or survival of this model in the future....I can't wait any longer. Another sale lost to the competitor.
I think I heard somewhere that the SC isn't selling well, so they are getting rid of it to be replaced at some point in the next 5 years or so. Maybe it's a good thing you got something else.
yes you shouldn't wait anymore. the current plan is the remove the SC from the lexus line up and the avalon from the toyota line up. in the case of the SC, it doesn't have a particular niche that appeals to a broad group of customers. it's relatively expensive for not that much power, lack of interior space (those rear seats are useless), not exactly the sportiest of rides, and the exterior look is beautiful to some, ugly to others. even if they did redo the SC, i think it'd be a completely different car considering the sales figures it has today.

actually, that's me waving good-bye.
don't forget to write when the electronics of your SLK turns it into an off-road vehicle.

Now, maybe, a is250 or 350 convertible (or maybe e based NON FWD)??? ummmm
Correction.. i looked it up and there is no slk 350 amg.. i was right its the slk55 amg.. so unless u got the amg apperance packaged and i know thats not a 20k dollar difference.. so.. did you really get an AMG?

He means it came with the AMG kit and wheels. Nice choice btw.
Well with the SC gone, chances of a IS coupe and hardtop are very likely - although they probably won't appear until the 3rd gen IS since the 2IS is going into its 4th model year. This should give Lexus designers a chance to design an IS coupe from the ground up instead of simply subtracting doors from the sedan.
