I did a search and couldn't really find anything. I noticed today that I have about a 3" hairline crack across the top of my radiator. I checked a few places and a stock replacement is around $200.
My question is has anyone ever done an aftermarket Supra radiator (Koyo, Griffin, Fluidyne) in there GS? Also what do you guys then do about the tranny lines and small fan? Do you get an aftermarket tranny cooler?
If it's anything like the 2nd gen then I'd assume it would fit with some minor fabrication. Earlier this year my brother put a Koyo (Supra fitment) fully-polished aluminum radiator in his ride. Since it is a thicker/fatter radiator you're probably going to have to get some aftermarket, slim-profile ones like my bro did.
Here's a link I posted after he had it installed. Remember this is for a 2nd gen GS.

Yeh I actually searched through the 2nd gen forum and saw that Bluelex had it done with some minor fab also. I will also probably be getting the Supra aftermarket fan shroud kit that we make in house
Griffin makes a direct drop in for the 1st gen GS. I have the original. It came with the car when I bought it. A supra drop in will not fit without some creative hose work. The upper neck is located further to the left if you are facing the motor to make room for the intercooler piping.
I'm not sure what they cost, somewhere in the $400 range I'd imagine. It's a huge upgrade, full aluminum and almost twice as thick. I ran an OEM supra radiator when I first did my swap. Once it cracked I got out the Griffin and did some creative hose work to make it work with the swap.
it fit ..i did it in my car..only thing you do is go to home depot and buy a long piece of aluminum and make a bracket to hold it in place...it is easy job..and one more thing go to pepboy and buy a new upper hose ..good luck
i used racing radiator from ebay for 240 total cost...it is full aluminum i think it is 3 inch thick

i bought a supra radiator off ebay for $169.00. It was for a manual tranny but i added in a aftermarket tranny cooler when i swapped them out. Fit perfect, but i had to fab up a upper rad. pipe and mounts. Wasnt that big of a deal. I have the same radiator in my sc300 and it works great to. It will fit on both the turbo and N/A motors. On the N/A motor you will have to cut off about 1 inch of the upper rad. hose for it to fit. But it does.
