MB S55 question?

MB S55 question?
I know this isnt a MB site. I just dont want to sign up on the MB site. I figured you guys might know the answer. How can you tell a regular S class from a true S55. I guy at the gym I go to has a MB with the badging of an S55 on the left, and the AMG badge on the right. He has aftermarket wheels also. It is a very nice looknig car either way. Just wondering if he is posing.

Like Bit said already the easiest way is to look at the exhaust, but I believe that the S55 has dual single tips that are oval with chrome tips. Most of the other AMG models have the quad exhaust. You can also check the brake calipers, they are larger and painted especially in the front on the true AMG models.

an AMG has cometic differences compared to other S-Class models but it should have a V8 Kompressor badge on both front fenders, most people who rebadge an S500 or S430 forget those and the supercharged V8 has a sweet sound

Still not sure if it was the real thing...........
On one of the pictures you guys sent, the S55 had dual tips on each side. In another picture it had single, while still including the S55 AMG badging. I believe the car I see has single tips, and no Kompressor badging on the side. I will hopefully will see it Monday morning. Maybe I will try to snap a picture of it, while trying not to get caught. I wouldn't want to look like im impressed
One thing I do know is he has an unbelievable girlfriend. She is about 21 and looks like a model. By the way he is late 30s. Maybe she spotted the AMG badging, and that hooked her?

either that's S55 or S500, it's a pretty impressive car, even brand new S430 cost around 100K out the door with some options checked
