So, call me crazy, but I think a car should function properly for at least the basic warranty period. Some of you might recall my recent sacrifice of my GS3 for the more economical 04 Civic. Well, the ODO on the Civic won't even have 700 miles on it before it needs to go in for warranty work. For some reason the shifter has decided that I no longer need to use 1st or 3rd gears... so it just won't let me shift into them. I'm starting to wonder why I ever strayed from Toyota.

 

you can always go back sorry about the crappy problems with your honda.

 

Honda's new CEO has promised a return to top quality. Though they just scored #5 on JD Power. Maybe you just got that 1 bad one?

 

I feel for you. After they adjust/fix this, you'll be down the road without incident.
OTOH, it may be the Toyota God frowning on you.

Sorry to hear that, hopefully the dealer is able to fix it under warranty and that there are no other problems with your car.

 

How about just hating YOUR Civic. Hating Honda's is a pretty big responsibility.

Your case is just bad luck.

Also, why would you ever give up a GS3 for a Civic. Was it financially necessary?

 

LOL... good point. Still, I'm not sure I trust their service techs now, either. I got the car back, of course it works fine now, but they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. They said I probably just don't know how to drive manual. Good thing they told me cuz these past five years of never having problems driving manuals I guess I was just oblivious.

The only hondas I hate are the civic, del sol, crx. The rest are ok.

 

the only hondas i hate are the riced out hondas...."altezza tails" "aluminum spoiler" unpainted bodykits...etc etc etc.....i like hondas they're kool, id like to build an eg, those are insane when tuned right...other than that, honda is respectable, maybe you just had a bad seed.....
