Originally posted by Leets I got the car back, of course it works fine now, but they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. They said I probably just don't know how to drive manual. Good thing they told me cuz these past five years of never having problems driving manuals I guess I was just oblivious.
Great service, they tell you that you probably don't know how to drive a stick Hopefully you don't have any other problems with your car, it should last you quite a long time. It just stinks that you had to give up your Lex, but you were having a series of expensive repairs that just didn't justify keeping it. Better luck next time

Honda stands pretty close to Toyota quality. 2nd best perhaps.
Your case is just bad luck.
Also, why would you ever give up a GS3 for a Civic. Was it financially necessary?
Honda actually beats Toyota in some areas, such as having what is probably the world's slickest front-drive manual transmission and clutch linkage ( in the Civic ), and in having some of the most efficient engines on the planet. They have traditionally excelled in powertrain engineering and in the exceution of driver controls and ergonomics inside. Toyota / Lexus is generally the world's best when it comes to vehicle refinement and a low number of defects per vehicle.
I had a Honda Accord that I just literally beat the crap out of. Other than the clutch and such that needed to be replaced, there was no major problems. I love the lex more but a Honda is defintely a great car and the engine is almost bullet proof.
That reminds me of a friend of mine son who bought a used 96' SS Impala from the Chevy dealer and for some reason it wouldn't drive right, he figured it just needed a wheel alignment, took it to the dealer, turns out the car was in a bad accedent and the frame was bent. Being young he accepted their settlement, a Tahoe for the same monthly payment ahhhh I was like Those are the sort of things children do when their parents are around enough, no guidence through lifes tricks mom and dad to busy at work. Thats why I'm not married with children.

PS guess i should thank honda for my lex haha!
So actually its not Honda's fault..you were driving and crashed maybe because of inexperience..i dunno. Then daddy comes to the rescue of her girl then typicaly sues.... the world we live in today is just full of lawsuits. Its a shame you really didnt earn that Lex.

I sure hope so. I figure within a year or so after college (granted I get a good job, which sadly is rare nowadays) I should have all my debts paid off. Then I just have to drive my Honda into the ground a little bit longer until the 2006 SC comes out. That release should significantly drop the value of the current SC430s. Time to save up for a convert.
