Also, Who cares if it's 20 of us who "dominate" the forums, we aren't anything but ridiculously welcoming. Who cares if it's 20 or 200. I mean dominate not negative, but just, hell I spend hours a day on here throughout my day lol. I've always been a forum person since day 1.

I haven't seen any language that I could even see be bothersome to anyone else honestly.

 

If the moderators will tolerate it, fine....that's their perogative. It's their job to regulate such things....just like what is considered political or non-political. But I myself do not engage in that kind of language, and you will not see it in my posts. For the most part, DaveGS4 didn't, either, when he was with us.

 

Exactly. While it's true that maybe only a couple of dozen members do the vast majority of the posts in Car Chat, there is nothing that prevents other members (or new members) from joining in.

 

The forum is a lot more relaxed and friendly due to relaxed regulations, I've been back for around a month and I haven't seen anyone abusing foul language or anything of the sort. We all still argue over the same things over and over, but that's how it's been and that's how it's going to be, lol.

 

You can control what words you use. Don’t try and control what words I use.

People need to worry about living how they want and stop trying to force their beliefs on others, that’s true everywhere in life. If my words bother you, the solution is for you to just not read them vs trying to force me to not use words you don’t like.

Ask yourself why he’s no longer here. Remember though the profanity filter was lifted before he was replaced.

 

First, that's up to the mods, not me. Second, you are generally not one of the most prolific users of profanity.


Well, you sometimes do a little of that yourself....like laughing at those who drive small three-cylinder vehicles.

 

Yet you’re here trying to admonish us for the words we use.

The moderators should be here to make sure that we have enjoyable conversations free from trolling and personal attacks and threats. They should not be policing what we say or what viewpoints we can address or what words we can use. Thankfully now they aren’t interested in doing so.

You’re right, I don’t choose to use much profanity but that’s my choice.

Dont confuse a little ribbing with me actually caring what you drive. I couldn’t possibly care less what anybody chooses to drive. You take yourself so seriously that’s why poking fun at you for driving a car you used to say you would never drive is funny.

 

I can voice my opinion...that is not illegal. But, no, I cannot take any further action...nor I am not trying to.

Im in Disney World and I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. It’s fascinating the little things they have changed so as not to offend people. Little parts of rides…no more “Buy a Bride” in Pirates of the Caribbean, no more Indian scene with the peace pipe in Peter Pan. No more splash mountain…because Brer Rabbit…personally I don’t really care because it’s a kids park and why offend people but it is interesting

1952 married people can’t sleep in the same bed on TV but you can have women sold into sexual slavery on a kids pirate ride lol. Crazy ****.

 

As someone who has a lot of elderly tax clients, I can guarantee you that age and wisdom have almost zero correlation. I see a ton of stupid **** lol.
