what will your next car be and when?
We will see what replaces the Pacifica when the time comes. I found twenty 2026 TX 550h+ nationwide. 😁 How many of those are actually unaccounted for
Oh yeah, I can see the dealer ADMs now. Lol
It won't be pretty.
The question was whether the stuff Jill posts would keep me from getting a Hyundai and the answer is no...it wouldn't.

I’ve been looking around for a good deal on a black on black SC430 or a black LX470 once my GS300 sells. I’d settle for a black 1st generation Sequoia or third/fourth generation 4Runner too.
A used LC500 is always an option as well but it’s a far more expensive car to maintain and insure compared to my current batch of rides. Another option would be an NA MKIV Supra, late 80’s Monte Carlo SS, 90’s Impala SS, or C5/C6 Corvette. I need to get a shop or something to store anything pricey. I hate having to keep half of my cars outside.

Went and looked at an RX350L yesterday. Steve, you were right. My 6y/o cant sit in the 3rd row with her feet on the floor unless the 2nd row is all the way forward, which makes it virtually impossible for an adult to sit in the 2nd row. We decided to just look for a regular RX and she will buy a Pilot when we replace her CRV. The Pilots have a much more useable 3rd row.
This makes my search much easier, and, given my budget, expands into the 22+ RX's as well. So I will be able to buy newer and keep around longer.

When I was at the dealer buying my GS a few years ago, I told my (long time) salesman that we bought a Highlander because we wanted a usable 3rd row. He noted that they now had an RX-L with the third row but I told him it was too compromised. He said it was the same as the Highlander's but it just isn't. I can sit in our Highlander's third row, but I cannot sit in the RX-L's third row.

We had a thread on this in Car Chat several years ago, when the first 3-row RX came out. Lexus, at the time, took the easy way out when they decided to add the third-row inside. Instead of extending and revising the chassis/unibody to adequately-contain the new seat, the designers basically just juggled things around inside, moved the second row a little, and more or less crammed the third seat inside the existing space. Good for the shareholders....not-so-good for RX owners and/or adults or older kids who have to sit back there.
