Oh snd @SW17LS regarding the van.... room inside versus a Yukon, I'd take the space hit to drive a Yukon. I'm glad your wife likes hers and it's great how much they can haul inside but I have no interest.
Remember you're also talking to someone who when young, the family car was a coupe. It was the nicer car and newer, my Mom had an '83 Peugeot 505 STI which was nice but junk mechanically.
The '88 Toronado overwhelmingly was what we drove around in.
Mom didn't get the van until we were teenagers, so she didn't "need it" then when we were actually kids kids.
You don't *need* anything honestly but a car. Its about what is the best tool for your use. Its like I can drive my S580 offroad in suspension high mode and get most places any of us would ever want to go, but if I did that routinely would I have a better experience in an SUV? Absolutely. Same thing here. The minivan vs a big SUV is just a better vehicle when you're transporting kids and people around in general. Its bigger inside while being smaller outside, it has more combined cargo/people space, its easier to drive and to park, and its much more efficient on fuel. Its just a better vehicle for that use.
I have no "interest" in a minivan either but its a better vehicle for our needs and the needs of most people with a family than an SUV without a doubt.
Just got another little mod for my S580 in the mail.
My car doesn't have the 4D Burmester audio, I only have the 3D. The 4D gets metal, lighted power rotating tweeters on the door panels. Mine just has plastic speaker grilles there. You can add the tweeters, but they're like $300 and you have to remove the door panels and splice them in and with it being a lease I don't really want to go through all of that.
So I ordered metal speaker grilles online and they came in, they look GREAT IMO...how it should have come from the factory
Why?????? And this wasn’t even at the rear of the parking lot🥴
Man or woman of culture I see. Tbh these days with folks not respecting other personal property, I get the reasoning why. Still doesnt make it right, but would be nice if they had a car enthusiast specifying parking with extra wide spots.
According to the outlet, General Motors is evaluating several passenger cars for the United States, one of which could wind up as a Buick sedan. While it was once a respected player in the space, Buick hasn't fielded a sedan in North America since the Regal bowed out at the end of 2020.
The report suggests that the new Buick could be built on GM's Alpha II platform. That platform underpins the Cadillac CT4—which is ending production later this year—and the Cadillac CT5. The platform will also underpin the next-generation CT5, which the automaker has confirmed is in the works.
What’s old always becomes new again. Renewed interest in sedans wouldn’t surprise me. Minivans are also experiencing a sales increase in the first time in many years.
