I think Alberta should increase oil production by 10x and use the revenue to build out renewable energy. You think we should continue the status quo forever.
Let me put a hard number on that as well for ya, renewables are subsided 30x more than fossil fuels. Might want to refrain from mentioning the fossil subsidies in the future lol! And before you say anything, the numbers are from the .Gov sources so go check the EIA
You are completely ignoring build out costs of renewables, of course in the beginning it will cost more. Oil production has long matured yet we still pour subsidies into the industry.

This is a blatant lie, solar returns 10–35 times the energy input over the lifecycle. Even in poor generation opportunity areas the payback is still less than 3 years. Put another way, worst case on average solar is net positive energy for 27 years.

LOL. You keep putting words in my mouth. But yeah, many people like you think that people like me shouldn't have all that I have and should be driving a golf cart apparently.. Which s ridiculous, so yes it is sort of amusing to me to act defiantly. I forgot to add 4.5L to the total including the boat's engine.

Amazing you still can't understand what finite means. Physical limits exist on how much oil there is, estimates range from 40-100 years at current consumption. Of course you don't care in the slightest because by then it won't matter you'll be dead. Plus you didn't contribute in any way to oil consumption according to you.
Again, do you know how long certain people have been saying we only have 40-50 years of oil left? And they've been wrong every time. Remember, Florida was supposed to be underwater in 2000.

What about all the lithium mining? Know how much of that they'd have to do if you actually got your wish and people did adopt EVs?

No one is telling you this, imaginary concern. But since you're making silly comparisons if EVs are a golf cart then you drive a riding mower.

Yes I know about all the wrong predictions about peak oil and rising sea levels.

Groan, the "lithium mine" canard is back. Have you ever been to an oil refinery or area that extracts oil? I have.

I know you are but what am I.

Dude, you can't with a straight face tell me there aren't many people out there who think big engines should be illegal or gone.... They're the minority and nobody listens, but yeah. So yes I find it amusing that there are 27.1 Liters of displacement in my household of two people. As soon as we get the LC500 which is probably gonna happen sooner than later it'll be 32.1 liters. LOL.

Then you know the people who perpetuate that BS are delusional.

Once banks stop handing out mortgages for 30 years on beachfront properties, that's when we know there's a real threat.
