Default Best EV replacement for a Lexus RX450h

Hi guys,

I am considering replacing my 2011 Lexus RX450h with a BEV and I would like to know what you guys think would be the best replacement vehicle for a Lexus RX450h, I am currently considering the Hyundai Ioniq 9, Kia EV9, Genesis GV70 electric, Cadillac Lyriq, BMW ix and Mercedes Benz EQS. I would like to get something that is as luxurious as the Lexus with the same reliability and superior fuel economy. with at least 350 miles of range. I have already test driven the BMW iX, the Tesla Model Y and the Audi etron but I didn't care for any of them. The Audi etron had a really nice interior and was comparable to the Lexus size wise but the range was too short. The Tesla Model Y interior felt cheap and the ride was horrible. The BMW iX has amazing range and great size but the front end was extremely ugly. I also did not enjoy the odd steering wheel and confusing gear shifter, Also, the cup holders are too low and simple functions like turning on the A/C are buried under multiple menus. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Neither does my Y or 3 . My 3 rides better than my IS350 did, rides about as well as my friends M4 Comp. But I'm biased

Lucid? Apparently price does not matter since you are trying cars wide apart in pricing.

Lucid has about 50 service outlets (they call them studios Ooh La La) in the United States 15 of those are in California. You'd get better after sales support owning a Lamborghini.

i guess you do a lot of long trips? if not, why is 350 miles of range a requirement? because at highway speeds, you’re only going to find a small # of ev’s that can do that. seems you want luxury and space and range … maybe a lucid gravity or rivian r1s.

The car most comparable in size and comfort to the RXh might be the upcoming electric Mercedes GLC

Other than that, I don't think anyone here can offer any other options that you have listed. But while you're at the Mercedes dealership, I guess also take a look at the EQE...

I forgot to add that because they discontinued the Q8, and if they still have one on the lot, you should be able to get a great deal on it. That might change your mind on the range. I don't love my Q8 etron, but I don't have it either. At this price level, it has some odd design/ergonomic choices.

We need a review on both of them if you haven't done one already!

The iX is probably the most direct replacement. Have you looked at the Cadillac Vistiq? Bigger than an RX but they are very nice and have a great ride and drive. Personally I think of the Lyriq as more of a car vs crossover and the rear of them is so quirky looking. I really like the Vistiq though
