Theyre computers on wheels for you, not everybody wants a computer on wheels many of us want a car first and a computer second, especially here in a car enthusiast community.
Ok, what do you want me to say? If someone thinks they are golf carts, they are in the wrong forum
He owns the car and that’s what he said. He’s not on the forum.
What do you want me to say? Ok, it's a golf cart to him. Not to the millions of us that own them and continue to buy them. Now I don't want to get into an EV vs ICE debate, so moving on

You don’t have to say anything. As we have discussed before you don’t have to defend Tesla or EVs at all. Ever. I passed on what my friend told me about his own experience, doesn’t have to responded to.
Im not anti EV, I’m anti appliance. There’s this idea that we shouldnt Care about anything in a car but technology and I don’t agree with that.

the trick it make it not feel like a computer on wheels…the Lexus RZ felt like a regular Lexus…Rivian felt like a computer on wheels

I actually think Rivians are a good example of an EV that doesn’t feel like a computer on wheels. They have a lot of character and personality. They have purpose designed suspension and capability…

Not back to back to back like at the auto show test drives….just referring to how controls and features are interacted with

Ive driven several of them, I don’t agree. Rivian and RZ are just really different vehicles. Rivian can do a lot of things the RZ can’t do and has a great outdoorsy style and personality.

was more referring to how controls are interacted with inside the car. Rivian also felt more software driven on the road test, in lots of snow. The Lexus didn’t feel that way, but is obviously software driven

Oh sure, it’s totally software driven. The Lexus feels more like the typical Lexus interface.
I don’t mind it being software driven as long as those other “car” items check the boxes.

really doesn’t matter if the vehicle is designed right. i7 is a perfect example, choose gas or battery, same experience (but perhaps the propulsion feels different). The removal of the classic Toyota cruise control stalk sucks…but at least the activation is not embedded into
a computer screen….or voice activated lol
If EVs are like a golf cart then a gas car is a riding lawnmower. Am I the only one that finds it bizarre anyone would want an EV to be just like a gas car or no sale? Then buy a gas car it already has all the desired traits.
