Stay away from Lucid
There have been a lot of threads on the Lucid subreddit over the past few weeks as the first customers leases mature and they return their vehicles.
Long story short - Lucid is billing thousands in excess wear and tear charges for what appear to be normal wear and tear.
They have been charging $2400 for scratches on the front skidplate - a part, let us not forget, that's literally designed to take the wear and tear, and in one post today someone has posted their lease end inspection report claiming there is $7600 in excess wear and tear.

Hyundai did something similar, claiming a rear panel was scratched and charging me $400, which was complete BS, but I just paid it and moved on. Actually it was US Bank, but after the penalties I've paid on three leases, I don't think I'm going to ever lease again
It's going to absolutely kill repeat business. Reportedly, Lucid executives are "aware and are looking into it" with Bank of America (who are whitelabeled as LFS) but BoA don't routinely do this for other OEMs where they are the lessor so you know the instructions to behave this way almost certainly came from these same executives.

Well it's not even just that, at some point there's a line beyond which it's fair game to ask the customer to cough up, but this is getting right into customers being asked to pay way over the top for what pretty everyone else would treat as reasonable wear and tear.
When selling and leasing Chevrolets years ago, we used both GMAC and a couple of banks for leasing.
The return condition thresholds were markedly different. GMAC recognized that they would likely get
another contract for a replacement vehicle and probably the loan paper when we sold the turned in car as well.
The Banks seems to view it as a one and done affair and tried to suck as much out of everyone (including the
dealers) as possible.
