TX is a huge success. It’s a function of where you live. I have only seen 2 or 3 new GXs since they came out and I hardly ever see an LX.

I could be wrong but from what I’ve noticed, it seems like only EV owners are excited about and thought the driverless Tesla was amazing. My friend who owns 2 EVs thinks highly of it.

My wife prefers the GH over the TX as well. Thats after test driving a platinum max GH and riding in our cousin TX luxury or premium+ trim.

Yes, I am sure there's something in that. Some people are willing to embrace nascent technology, some prefer more mature and more proven technology. And that's fine. No one is right or wrong. But with that said, if no one were willing to embrace the nascent, nothing would ever get to proven maturity. Probably also helps if you work in tech, as I do.

Great post @swajames . 🏆
As someone who works in tech, I have my reservations about releasing tech too fast.

This is my big and only worry and the reasons are outside the scope of this thread so I'll stop there.

But your post is 100% true, Imo.

More GXs in my area of NYC than TXs. I would say it's 3 to 1.

I'm fine with hybrids that never deactivate the engine and are only used as an assist system, bonus points if I can use the system to move the car around and maybe a short store run. I hate systems that randomly turn the engine on or slam it to 5k rpm from off once you want any decent power

your quote isn't what i wrote. i previously wrote about the droning and raucous noise, which i grant you is more of a thing (as you agreed) with older hybrids, and definitely much worse with 4 cylinder hybrids than 6 or 8.

and that is what i wrote: " pacifica doesn't drive as bad as i've described" (nothing to do with the video). do you believe the video was edited to exaggerate or is otherwise not an accurate representation of how it drives?

you can (and no doubt will) keep harping on how i haven't driven it, but i don't waste dealers' time driving cars that i have zero likelihood of buying. put me on ignore if it bothers you. and this forum is FILLED with opinions and comments about vehicles by users that haven't driven them.

I don’t argue with you about how your cars drive, and I’ve actually driven them
lol, well plenty have argued!

and opinions should be welcomed, even if we don't agree. but your m.o. is always the same... try to shut down anyone that disagrees with you.

what we see on the road isn't a lot of evidence, lol. but in the past 24 hours i've seen tx, gx, and land cruiser.

They are really good vans, much better than others in terms of refinement/drive. If you lease them then you will never have reliability issues, leasing really is wonderful for never having to care about long term ownership and you always have the newest

not only that, they're very thoughtfully designed as far as space, utility, and comfort.

It’s a video. You can’t get a driving experience from a video, at least not enough to argue with someone who owns the car.

I have watched many of his videos, he drives cars really hard at WOT a lot. It’s not a car you have any need to drive at WOT.

You don’t have to drive it, just don’t argue with people who own the car about how they feel to drive when you have never driven one. Pretty simple.

I have no issue with people disagreeing with me as long as they have some experience similar to my own on a given subject. Not going to entertain somebody’s disagreement when they don’t have any idea what they’re talking about and I do, no.

I'm well aware of that, and always have been just for the record here. What's popular in West Knoxville doesn't represent the nation.

200s are so ridiculous here that on my daily morning run to McDonalds for my Diet Dr P which is three streets and about 5-7 minutes away, I am not exaggerating here..... I see at least one 200 LC/LX nine out of 10 of those days. Sometimes I'll see multiple ones. On just a simple, short run down the street and back home. I'm not exaggerating, just about every single day.

I liked the idea of the built-in vacuum cleaner to clean up after kids, although I don't know if that is still offered as an option.

That's the whole issue with hybrids for some people, when you actually start to DRIVE them it just gets sloppy and disjointed. A whole area of the power delivery is just meh and subpar and it's located in the area you want it to feel good.

Like a Ferrari in traffic vs open road, you suffer the traffic to be able to do 458 stuff when it opens up (I have 458 on my mind right now, very nice in white over ram Daytona seats)

Totally agree. It’s a great powertrain for something like a minivan or a family SUV etc or an economy car, but when I drove the S580e I immediately crossed it off, wouldn’t want a hybrid LC or LS etc.

I made it to NJ with the kids and the dog. Pray for me!
