Guess what? Jill is also my friend, a Canadian living in an expensive part and we've been interacting for at least a decade. I'd rather just ask her.

I was born in 1982, I'm at the tail end of Gen X or a Xennial.

How were auto seat belts less costly than a drivers side airbag? I guess they must have been.

The only time in my life I've ever seen an automatic seatbelt was in the 90's riding in my aunt's car. I believe it was either an Escort or Taurus.

In North America we got the scraps for the most part. Consider the Celica, almost off of them got the Camry engine instead of the GE/GTE versions. Every Celica should have come with the 3S-GE or 3S-GTE. Same with the MR2. Or the 3S-GE BEAMS all the iterations of that engine are awesome. And insanely reliable.

We did get the Chaser actually, Cressida but that never had the JZ turbo engine in North America. Plus the Chaser had a bunch of variants we never got like the 5-speed manual.

Oh it sucks severely how little we got over here, it makes sense from a market perspective but they should have offered swap kits or something at least.

Just got back from WV, hardly ever go down there in the winter. We surprised my cousin and had a little early NYE party last night since he has to work on NYE.

Trip down:

Trip back

Definately don't get as good mileage in the winter, its about 10% less.

Mechanic is dodging my calls. Car was supposed to be done today(after being supposedly ready on Saturday and Friday and Wednesday last week).

I'm getting angry.

I should have trusted my gut. Dude showed up to tow us with an open beer in his truck. Probably not a reliable person.

No, it was the only available option in the area.
