General Car Conversation 2025 - Part 2
Ah, it freaked me out for a sec. First time I've ever seen an error on one of the W12s and it was right after I went down a hill into fog so I figured it may have blinded the camera.
Guess it doesn't try and use only the radars, part of me is surprised by that as I wasn't using lane keep

Isn't that standard practice to list the regular low price? Also, if they have different cash/credit price guess what price gets listed.

Thats one place the newer cars have improved. The RCC systems work in bad weather more. On my LS460L the system shut off whenever the auto wipers would go on high.

Yeah, I'm just not used to the gap being that big. It's typically a 50-60 cent price difference. I assumed that with a low regular price(compared to other stations nearby) that the premium would also be cheaper than premium at other stations. Turned out I was wrong. They had the cheapest regular and the most expensive premium.
I was driving my wife’s Jeep once to WV and I watched this huge bug sail right into the grille and as soon as it hit the “radar inoperable” warning came on lol. Splattered all over the sensor!

That's quite funny you got a bug hit bad enough to instantly down the sensor though lol!

at the time i drove them often (biz travel rentals), my own car was an acura legend (obviously much nicer).
this video from a very young clarkson is hilarious.
and i wonder how much they paid legendary race car driver jackie stewart to gush over it here including it's great nvh.

i used to have fun flooring the gas knowing not much would happen.

and the interior was all hard plastic.

but it was certainly a market winner!
That 570 has been through the mud a few times, I love it. Probably has tons of well driven miles.
And even the first LX570 before any facelifts looks better than the 600, from behind at least. IDK what Lexus is doing with all that plastic cladding, and it would be cool for $120,000 if it had some sort of nice looking exhaust. Nothing major.

For the front plate or not, CA requires it. It is rare that a cop would pull someone over just for that especially given the fact we have fewer officers due to defunding and retirements/resignations. Cops don’t even pull people over for running red lights now. Another factor is usually an officer approaches a vehicle from behind so if they noticed the missing front plate, it probably wasn’t the first or only thing that caught their eye.
