General Car Conversation 2025 - Part 2
When I had the service done on my ZF6 a few years ago, including replacing all the mechatronic seals, total at my indy came to $800. I'd expect a similar service to be just over a grand nowadays, probably a bit more than half that if you're just doing the pan and fluid. So pricey but not brutal.
Should be fine. You're just getting your transmission fluid service early. It includes a new pan anyway, because the filter is built into the pan.

They're big and fast and fun to drive.... I'm sure that 5.0 is a hoot. Yukon is the best DD on the planet to me personally. Then how I said my spouse won't touch anything but the 11y/o LX570.

BUT, this is our last minivan lol. I want something "cooler".
Yep. Trucks are great to drive. And you've got big huge roads out there, that's what I think some of you all on here don't quite get because you just don't have expansive roadways like he does.

Big boat... debatable 🙂
This is as cool as I'm going to get. If it dies, I'll replace it with another Sienna, up to a 2021
And IMO Trucks are fun to drive, just in a different way than a sporty car. I think my S580 is very fun to drive. "Fun" is in the eye of the beholder.
Neither of you has to drive it for a daily though like we do, if it were a third car then that would be a different story. I want something cool that I like driving for trips etc, even if its at the expense of some utility or practicality.

I didn't buy it for my health. I've driven faster cars of course but my SL is the one of the most exhilarating cars I've ever driven with the drama when you really start to get on it. It will make you giddy and laugh. You can feel the passion that went into these cars.
And yes, trucks are fabulous and better than ever. Have you never spent time in a true high end American truck?
I didn't say I take the Yukon to the track, though it has a great chassis that is willing and confidence inspiring. Trucks/truck based SUVs for cruising around town, are you fkn kidding me???? The size and space inside and power and huge V8 rumble, and "you win" every drive.... I'll never own a sedan again.
My wife is perfectly happy with a minivan, but...I'm not. Anyways the Pacifica is the only PHEV minivan there is, so if we got a new one she wants a PHEV or EV, so we would just have to get another one of these...which would be our 4th Pacifica. Time for something new. No clue when the Pacifica will be redone but I wouldn't ever buy a first year Chrysler again.
