General Car Conversation 2025 - Part 2
Roadtrip fuel blog. Filled up this morning. DTE showing 579
Love how BMW adjusts your DTE real time based on current driving conditions. 12 min later DTE still showing 580 miles.
Right after I took this pic and 24 miles later it started descending from 580.
140 miles into the drive hovering around 29mpg
140 miles after refueling still showing 511 miles DTE.
I would 100% buy the B58 again over the twin turbo V8. Great road trip vehicle.

In a weird way, you're both right, and also both wrong. That's because the 4th-->5th gen model transition for the Cutlass Supreme was a little strange.
The G-body 4th gen ran from 1978-1988. The W-body 5th gen ran from 1988-1997. That means for MY 1988 there were two completely different cars on totally different platforms that were both Cutlass Supremes. The RWD G-body--renamed to "Cutlass Supreme Classic" remained in production through December 1987, and the FWD W-body began production in January 1988.
That said, the white convertible is NOT a 1988. The convertible model wasn't added until 1990, so that one is either a '90 or '91. MY1992 brought the mid-cycle refresh, which resulted in the styling of the black convertible that @AJT123 posted.

You’re correct, I forgot about the two.
But, actually the black one is the pre refresh. You can tell because it has sealed beam headlights while the white one I posted has the glass lens housings. Pretty sure the one I posted is a 93.

1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible

Neither has sealed-beam headlights. The "quad beam" in the refresh still takes bulbs (Sylvania 9005/9006 to be exact), and are actually the same units that were used in the 4th-gen Camaro.
