To be fair, electric motors are almost cheating. No combustion, no major moving parts to deal with like pistons, crankshafts, transmissions etc and computers putting the power down precisely to all four wheels. The Vette on the other hand had a lot of engineering put into it to achieve it's performance, which is pretty amazing. One is the king off the line, the other at the roll 👍

Frank, that royally sucks. Fingers crossed for a low-cost and speedy repair. Keep us posted.

exactly… it’s fair game to post “evs and coffee” here and the rules say no ev vs ice posts, which i don’t agree with but there it is.

take what is otherwise a practical large hatchback 4 door sedan and put it up against a supercar costing twice as much and the later still loses from stopped. i mean what is the point in such comparisons?

The mechanic who came and rescued us was a pretty nice dude. Gave me a good price on the parts and labor(new pan, filter, and fluid). Drove us back to Vegas after dropping the car at his shop. He did have a beer in the cupholder though and the truck had no seatbelts lol.

I'll head out there next week to pick it up when it's done. I'll get someone to drive me out or I'll rent a uhaul trailer to bring it back on.

But for now the truck gets to resume its rightful place as my daily driver.

But EVs and gas cars can be openly discussed here without anyone getting butt hurt and someone signals for Batman then a mod shows up.

RWD vs AWD from a dig

Like I stated if anything it’s a nod to have fast the plaid is and how much hp is required to be on the same playing field as it.

Sorry man, I know I'd feel the same... That's crappy bad luck.

That said, just turn it into insurance when you get home and forget about it. That's what you pay them for, to not stress when this stuff happens.
