I think the older we get the more interesting history becomes. We've lived through more life experiences, good & bad events, wars, conflicts etc. And can reflect on them better than when we were younger.
Also you start to develop a new perspective on history, and question certain parts of it.

I agree. As a kid it was how is this going to even help me in the future 😆

Agreed about history. It used to be so boring. Now I can't get enough. Who cares if it helps you as an adult or not. My father is an open history book, he knows so much it's insane.
I wish more adults, teachers, etc. would have hammered home "One day you'll be into this" more when I was younger.

Oh, believe me they did try -- we just didn't hear them and/or didn't listen. Selective hearing.
I can't tell you how many times I've caught myself saying the same things my parents did back then, only we wouldn't hear of it. Immature, selfish, spoiled brats, we were.
One thing I regret the most was not learning my parents first language. They offered for me to learn during the summer of junior high -- but I wouldn't have any of it. Wanted to hang with my friends at the lake, the mall, etc., NOT learn another language. BIG mistake. Biggest Regret. Stupid kid. What did I know back then?! Nothing. Now, I can appreciate the sacrifices and hardships my parents went thru to have us here -- and to that, I'm forever grateful.

Lol bro we were all young and stupid once, most of us at least. The bolded is hilarious, and accurate.
What is your parents' first language??? I tried to learn Spanish but I'm too ADHD.

There's a quote that goes something like "When I was 16, my father was the dumbest man alive. When I turned 26, I was amazed at how wise the old man had become in the span of only 10 years."
Back on topic, my Costco has been all over the place--4 price changes in the past week. Up a penny on Friday, down 8 cents on Sunday, up 12 cents yesterday and another 5 today. Currently at $5.25/gal for premium.

About to head out to gas up the S580. Will report back.
Me too. I have a half a tank, but I'm doing a bit of driving and don't want to pay City gas prices this weekend. It's literally a dollar more downtown.
