At the time, besides a couple of traditional V8s, it offered what was probably the only overhead-cam engine in an American-branded vehicle...the Pontiac 250 cubic-inch (4.1L) in-line six of 175 HP.

Due to the fires in Los Angeles, the pipeline that supplies gasoline to Vegas has been shut down and people are out en masse stocking up on gasoline for the impending shortage.
So it's REALLY cold here and my good doctor friend ended up making me cold start one of my W12s for once lol!
I got a call from him around 5 that he wanted to know if I would still be at my shop so he wouldn't have to change his oil on the cold ground at his place, I said to not bother since I would be home by the time he made it out and to just go to my house and use the garage since the 3rd bay was empty as I decided to drive my D4 today. I figured he would be done and gone by the time I got home, however I should have known better as for the last 15 years he has NEVER once gotten a place on time or had any sort of speed doing mechanical tasks. I got back at 6:03, he didn't get there for another hour and I figured "okay that's fine, car won't get too cold in that time".........so anyway at 12:06 he was finally done with a combination of oil change, cleaning the car a bit (excuse was my place is heated and well equipped) it was time to move cars around again.
I decided, being the occasional idiot I am decided that since I have never started the thing under freezing it would be fun to run outside in shorts and open the hood and have him start it and see what it sounded like/acted like. Answer is I wasted my time since it acted the damn same as being started at 80* but I got freaking frozen from it, I then told him "well that was pointless, I am going to go drive laps around the neighborhood while you move all the other cars around thx" and proceeded to let the car idle around a loop twice before trying the throttle at all. It really didn't seem to care and felt normal so that was fun, it was so cold out though that when I pulled back in the air in the garage flash froze over the car. I took pictures because it was really dang cool, I am hoping the cold stops already as it sucks to work in.

Sucks when that happens. I know the feeling.
The EV crowd is chuckling right now I’m sure.
We lost power few hours ago. Good ole generator is chugging along. 🔌💡📺

Seeing your car and SW17LS car in these winter mix conditions
I hate this winter weather. I just tried to drive to work in this weather and it ain’t happening!
I have these brand Yokohama Advan Sport all seasons. And they don’t do good in the snow. My cars traction control wouldn’t let me drive over 30 mph. On flat roads. And there was a lot of squirming and sliding around. My Continentals were much better……
I fishtailed and ended up nose to median. No traction in reverse completely stuck. A Good Samaritan in a Honda Pilot pulled me around with some tow straps and got me going again and I just drove back home without incident. BARELY made it into my driveway. The Yokohamas FAILED the snow test.stay safe out there folks.
And I feel terrible about what’s happening in California, so tragic. I’ll take this winter weather any day over that.

That's the kind of stuff that scares me.
Time to break out the snow mobile. 🤓

Oh no that sucks. Didn't you just get those Yokohamas? I was considering them too but I ended up with the Michelin Pilot AS.
We had a little over 2" on Monday the 13th. Even when I occasionally hit a mound of snow about 4" the tires did good.

Dang that sounds very unfun, sorry they failed so bad!
That's reminding me of my S4.....I actually had to stop using it as my daily when the snow started as I discovered its tires are USELESS in the cold/slush. It was to the point where I couldn't leave my driveway in a controlled manner. It's fun as hell in the subdivision sure, but I knew it wouldn't work to actually go anywhere.
Forced me to order tires at the end of the day and as an excuse to drive the D4 for a while in the snow. I should probably use the Jeep but man it's hard to go back to dealing with that car after months of an S4 as a "beater"

PSAS4s are what I have on 4 cars, soon to be 5 on the S4 and they are hilariously good on the Audis in the snow. Only issue is they are relatively loud
