how do you know it’s a gasket?

 

It was a well known issue on 22 and 23 model year IS 500's. The fix is incredibly simple. I skipped the first two model years of this car to avoid stuff like this but it happened anyway.

My appt is Thurs 3/27. Maybe I can get a GX 550 loaner?

 

in FL dealers get their toyota's through a distributor who nicely adds a package of hugely profitable stuff to every vehicle no matter what. ugh
in this case over $1500 worth.

LC's seem to be immune. Come to think of it I don't recall any issues with your car.

I think Lexus puts their best team on the assembly line for the LC. That Sebring event you did last weekend looked awesome!

Just not the right look for this car but maybe because they are Honda rims like ya'll noticed. Lol

Its a Lexus NX. The wheels aren't super attractive but I wouldn't say they are ugly. In Canada everybody runs winter tires and they usually run them on a separate set of wheels so they can easily swap. Thats what this is I'm sure, he has his original Lexus wheels with his summer tires on them.

 

Hey All, we have a new regular in TLN. I was thinking about and explaining what drew me here and why I have been here for 20+ years. I was car shopping for the car I ultimately bought in 2002, which was a 1994 GS300. It was blue on gray and had mostly factory paint, but there was some evidence of respray. Still, it was an 8 year old car with 59k and it was really the nicest car I was comfortable buying because I was still paying student loans. I owned the car for 13 years. I had it repainted in Indigo Ink Pearl (8P4) which was a factory color on the 1 IS and the SC430. I miss the car sometimes. I miss it today. It looked pretty good when I completed all mods.
