They don't drive the way they used to. I doubt that M3 even has power steering, on top of "old BMW steering feel"? Whew, what a blast.
Like I said, many think that 1980s M3 is the best M3.
original M3 is definitely the coolest one since it was literally built for the purpose of allowing BMW to compete in the DTM series, way before it had enough creature comforts added back in to allow it to become a car for "*****" as jeremy clarkson puts it lol
the original R32 skyline was also built to homologate the racing car, so for that it could definitely be argued it's the coolest skyline of all

Lol you haven't driven the newer M3'S and M4's. My wife's nephew has a 1998 M5, and it's ok, very analog and tedious to drive. My friends 2024 M4 Comp I would take any day off the week over the "old" school BMW'S. My wife's nephew doesn't even drive it on a wet road because it's outright dangerous because of zero traction control
But, all the tire snobs will be happy (I'm one too) bc Z-Rated Michelins will be going on it. Any suggestions?
Cars I've seen lately:
Original M3, wow. Never seen one that I can recall. It wasn't in good condition, doors were a different shade etc etc.
These M3 are worth a ton of money in good condition and they are 4 cylinders. A good friend of mine has bought and sold a number of these M3’s and even sold one with a blown engine that needed a lot of body work and was in a wreck for $25k in one day after he bought it for like $12k. He’s about to buy another one with a mechanics lien for $35k that is at a body shop.
