Maybe it is a hybrid thing in general. I don’t remember our Prius needing to do that but it had that bladder gas tank.
48v S Class doesn’t require that but the PHEV S class does. I guess it’s a full hybrid able to drive without the engine on thing?

Rats ate through the passenger side fuel injector wire bundle. I took it to my favorite indy.

Good luck! I battled mice for years I finally got rid of them ended up piping car exhaust under my storage shed haven't seen signs of them since.

Ps, hopefully your Indy will go easy on you but I guess it depends on how much damage was done and if they have to pull a new harness thru the engine, yikes.
