Gas door on Prime springs open immediately. I did it 2x. Even opened the gas cap I watched the gas door while I pressed the button then looked at the dash as it read ready to refuel. What am I missing here?
I want my money back.
saw this beautiful Hyundai Genesis today at the movie theatre
didn't know that was a ford invention. liked this part...
many European cars have the fuel door located on the passenger side, while many Japanese and American vehicles have the fuel door on the driver side. Both techniques have valid reasons. European automakers place the fuel filler on the passenger side for the sake of safety when a vehicle has run out of fuel and has pulled off onto the shoulder of the road to fill up from a canister. Meanwhile, American OEMs tend to place the fuel door on the driver side of the vehicle for convenience reasons, so that a driver doesn’t have to walk around the vehicle when filling up at a gas station.
so europe's rules are to save lives. america's rules are to save fat people from having to walk 5 paces around the car.

It depends on the conditions, most times it opens immediately but sometimes it will take a couple seconds. I would imagine when it’s been shut down it wouldn’t have any pressure.

Haha sounds about right.
It’s on the passenger side on my Mercedes, it was on the passenger side on the LS400 but all the other Lexus cars I had it was on the driver side.
My F-150 has it on the driver side. The BMW has it on the passenger side. It's thrown me off a few times at the gas station. I went to get gas in the truck a few weeks ago and was used to driving the bimmer, so i parked on the wrong side of the pump and had to move. Did the same 3 days later in the BMW.
Left hand for my US cars and the Lexus products, right handed for all the euro cars. I have no real opinion on sides other than that the right handed fuel doors make it easier to leave the car at the pump.

I never leave my car at the pump. If I need to go in for some reason, i pull up to a parking spot after I'm done filling up.

took me another read to get what you're saying. i think you're saying if it's on the right side then when you pull up to the pump with the right side of the car next to the pump for filling, it's easier for you to GET OUT OF the car (you're on the left side) because the door can be opened without the pump limiting movement.

Yes exactly what I meant, sorry if I used odd terminology! Happens often honestly, my syntax is sometimes odd due to immigrant parents
