many don't see the point of having an s-class... we can all rationalize anything.
my neighbor has 2 s-classes.
Oh I know many of those people!
I just don’t get why if you have two cars you would want them to be identical. I wouldn’t buy two S Classes, having some sort of multipurpose vehicle in the household is a huge benefit. I just don’t want to drive that vehicle every day.
What has caught my eye recently is something like an E450 Wagon. Likely too small for us but I think the concept of having Sedan driving characteristics with the hauling capacity is appealing. I wouldn’t want to drive it everyday though.
Wow I can’t believe I came back to this thread and we are talking about gas cap covers but at least it’s car related.
I just went and checked all of my gas cars. Cayenne, GTR and Tucson all have plastic hinges for the gas cover. I would bet my previous BMWs did as well. My Durango was also plastic. one interesting thing is my GTR gas cover is actually plastic and not metal like all of my other cars.
My favorite gas cover was my Viper, it was a big chunk of aluminum. Kind of cheesy that there was a gas cap underneath it but it was cool looking and substantial.
Finally, one thing I do know is that for all of them in recent years except my Durango was they all didn’t have a gas cover release lever, just push on the cover and it opens but only if the doors are unlocked which is typical these days even on a cheap Hyundai.
