Totally justified to have a euro rate and a domestic rate.
Justified! 🤓📣
True but I was trained on them so they feel "normal" to me lol! Domestics feel like it's too easy or I'm in a rage from rust/stupid design haha!

Toyota normally takes the whole book time

Hyundai/kia is great

Same here, pre refresh was superior. Post refresh the car looked much less nice and less like a Mercedes, more generic.

I did like that E-Class and the exterior styling. I liked the refreshed front end, but didn't feel that it really went with the rest of the car - like they just took the front end of another car and tacked it on. So I'd probably prefer the original design, like the one Steve looked at.

However...I thought it had an enormously disappointing interior.

What? The interior on the W-212 was beautiful when they were new.
Although they don’t age well, the used ones I looked at were worse for wear. Faded woodgrain, peeling buttons. Leather coming apart.

Thats the issue I have seen a LOT with Mercedes, the interiors just do not hold up well if the owners aren't careful with them. I have a few poor GLKs that started out really nice but have been destroyed over the last 3-4 years.....

Makes me sad since they were very nice the first time I saw them/PPIed them and one is a diesel.

The BMW mechanic I use charges $185/hr.

I ended up paying $1,700 yesterday for a coolant flush, transmission fluid and filter change, and diff oil change.

Most of that was the transmission, needing $500 in parts and fluid and another $500 in labor.

At least i don't need to do this again for 60k miles. Just oil, brakes and tires between now and then for the most part.

Now she's ready for a tune.

I’ll have to look and see what my MB independent charges.

Got it all cleaned up and of course let the massively over inflated tires out lol

we have an mb with mbux in it at home so i'm quite accustomed to it. i just don't think it's user-friendly. it is flexible though, with the ability to change guages in a million ways and the wheel touch pads are kinda cool.

It’s basically an Opel. Opels aren’t necessarily bad. Put that star on it and it costs more. I am a curmudgeon. I don’t go for 4 cylinder “luxury” cars.

did opel actually have any involvement? doesn't seem like it from wikipedia.

i'm amazed they've sold well over 3 million a class.

I’m not aware of Opel having any involvement with that vehicle.

You’re a carmudgeon!

Doesn’t surprise me at all. In Europe that car makes sense, in the US it’s just a badge buy.

Im not interested in a 4 cyl luxury car either. Luckily most of those come with a 6cyl option at least.

Most people don’t care though. One of my agents is getting an E Class at my suggestion, she never even considered anything but the E350
