General EV Conversation
That said, no car I've owned has received the amount of attention and compliments that the EQS has gotten. From family, friends, strangers, etc. I have a couple relatives who have to tell me how beautiful it is every time they see it and I don't think they're just being nice because they've straight up said they don't like our Model Y.
It really makes an impression on people when they see it in real life I guess. Just yesterday at AutoZone someone in a Dodge Challenger rolled their window down to ask me if it was electric and said it was really nice. 9/10 times if I parallel park it in front of people, they say something to me either about the wheels and/or the rear wheel steering "I just love watching those rear wheels while you park"
Once while getting in it at a charger near Chicago, a woman driving a Honda CR-V stopped, rolled her window down and was screaming at the top of her lungs across the parking lot (I kid you not) "OH MY GOD THAT IS A BEAUTIFUL BENZ! I DIDNT KNOW THEY HAD AN ELECTRIC! DID THAT JUST COME OUT?" Literally screaming about how beautiful she thought it was, so, to each their own 🤷🏻♂️

) but except new S, no other tesla model looks great IMO. Looks like a toy car. The Y and X's butts do look attractive if you're close and low enough. I also think EQS look weird but I think people buy them for other features that they're used to. Who said 4GS looked fugly? Must be 2/3GS owners.

. I'm with you, the GS is a great looking car. Almost bought one, but bought an IS350 instead

It just really drives so nice. On the freeway it's way quieter and suspension wise, smoother than the Y. Plenty of power when you need it. A couple of things though. The nannies can be very irritating. Getting on the freeway there is a slight curve, when I hit the curve a little aggressively, it started to beep all kinds of warnings and tried to take corrective action by taking the steering. The Y doesn't bother me unless I'm accelerating and the car in front of me slows down or stops. The other thing is the screen keeps adjusting to the light by dimming and brightening itself, which can be a bit distracting. The Y does the same thing, but it completely unnoticeable. That's the issue with having a white background. It's probably something fixable.
Another issue I had was trying to pair my phone as a key. With the Ioniq, you have to install a seperate app. It kept failing while trying to pair with my phone. With the Y, it was seamless. I'll have to play around with it some more
