Just curious, but there are a few other posts, but I can't seem to get past page 195

When I click on page 196, it just loops me back to page 195. I've been seeing this issue the last week. Is it just me? If I post something (like I did here), I can then get to the next page

Sometimes page progression gets messed up if posts have been deleted. We had a couple of spam posts that had to be deleted so that's probably it

Phantom pages is a very old vBulletin bug. Pagination is a tricky beast almost as bad as coding for date/time.

no idea what you're saying... tim cook has made apple a VASTLY bigger and more powerful company, but yes, they're totally different.
and of course we don't know all the other shelved projects at apple under whatever ceo. jobs also did newton (i think), lisa, and other not so great products. that's how it goes.

Apple spent 10+ years trying to make an EV they were most certainly interested. But keep apologizing for your dear holy leader Tim Cook.
i'm not into cult of personality like you. tim cook has done a great job with apple but obviously it's about way more than just him. wide range of ipads, macs, phones, watches, now the vision pro, great cloud ecosystem, apple tv+, etc.

and i'm sure apple never intended on manufacturing cars themselves just like they don't make much of anything today (mostly foxconn).

anyway, onward...

so what? If Apple figured out it is not their next business, good for them.

You are trying to diss the CEO of company that has $100,000,000,000 in Net Income? Thats so silly.

My 2 cents on the matter is with the EV business, you have put your full concentration into it, which is why Tesla has been so successful. You can see the hard time other companies are having, including startups like Lucid, Rivian and Fisker (and others). The legacy auto companies are having a harder time trying to concentrate on their ICE business (which makes money) and their BEV side that is losing money.

Apple is not in the business to lose money, and they would be shedding money for years. Someone else mentioned this earlier, it's one thing to go in debt buying a $1200 iPhone, it's another buying a vehicle at over $80K

What they figured out is they are not capable.

I'm not dissing the entire companies operations .

no. It's never that black and white.
the r in r&d is relevant. Companies don't start out with all the answers and don't know how long it will take to find solutions. Apple obviously evaluated that path forward wasn't clear but was very expensive and they probably also figured they gave more promising places to invest.

no no, it's clearly that Apple is just stupid and Tesla is not. Everybody that isn't on the Elon train is either stupid or a hater.

There are only hype men and haters. If you're not with the movement, you're against the movement.

Of course it is, Apple either makes a car or they don't.

Apple spent upwards of $100 billion if reports are to be believed.

Like FSD? Difference is Tesla is not giving up. Of course you're only going to mock Tesla when they are late if it's Apple then oh well, they "evaluated" and decided nope can't do that. Smart business in your view.

Where do you see growth for Apple coming from? Mobile market is saturated in fact Apple numbers are down.
