I don't think he will win another election here he has such a low favorability rating.

Ok back to Tesla Elon definitely has the option to leave the state as many other companies have done in the past

About 20 years or so ago, I worked for one of the biggest (biggest in its industry) tech companies, they had two huge manufacturing sites in the bay area. They shut down one and moved most manufacturing part oversea and all R/D stuff to the other one. That's certainly one option Elon may have on his mind - downsize to keep R/D and move out/over the remaining.

If Elon decided to move manufacturing, he would probably be wise to keep R&D here. Rivian for example has their corporate offices with engineering in Irvine, CA but manufacturers their vehicles in Normal, ILL. Lucid has their headquarters in Newark, CA but their plant is in NM. But I don't honestly think that it will come to that, I think the threat of moving manufacturing from Fremont will be enough. The thing is, I don't think Tesla needs the tax credits anymore, so the threat of not including them in state credits is an empty threat. IMO of course

SpaceX reduced their California footprint and may end up moving all operations to Texas. Don't think having operations in California is super critical, not that Elon wants to go through all that trouble but I'm certain he will if Newsom keeps trying his stupid flex moves.

If we go the Tesla route, will definitely use your referral. I went to their website and played with the numbers and got pre-approved (in the process giving my email and mobile #). I will say their sales team are very aggressive. Non stop emails and texts. I live near their Barranca location so they probably figured that with my zip code I can pick up the car anytime🤣

That can maybe give you some advantage.

Haha the key is you got pre-approved, which is why they are texting and emailing you. It's near the last quarter and they are looking to hit their sales numbers or above. No pressure from me...buy what works best for you and your family. But remember, if that voice in your head says "Tesla" don't ignore it. JK 🤣🤣

Interesting that the sales team is pushing for a sale.

Here's the deal that's hard to refuse: No other carmaker that exists today has a car that matches the Model Y or 3 in price, performance, utility and efficiency all rolled up. Period. IMHO

Tesla now letting you buy out leases. Smart move, albeit long overdue.

The people who make the S3XY buttons have what seems to be a good solution for those who don’t like the lack of a stalk for blinkers etc.

Crazy that this is even needed, stalk removal must be up there as one of the most insane examples of a solution looking for a problem that didn’t exist, but this looks like an excellent and elegant fix.
