Something else that sounds cool to me is if Tesla starts making a low cost EV.

I think members on here said the Chevy Spark is gone so maybe Tesla can fill the gap?

A $20k EV, if it can be done.

My friend, you can't get any cheaper than this:

Subtract another -$500 using a referral link, and this is around what my daughter paid for her Bolt, which is a way inferior car. In Florida where you live you probably pay less tax and license fees as well than we do

$20k EV is just not possible, unless buying used

Close to zero doubt that’s 100% self administered for clicks. The supposed “paint” washed off. All sentry mode would likely have shown, had it been “working”, was him doing the spraying.

Are you trying to tell me I shouldn't have rushed out and bought up all the Tesla 1tb USB drives? 🤣

How is this happening when Tesla fired the entire Supercharger team.

Looks like this station was planned in 2022.

When was the Supercharger team fired? It was earlier this year in 2024 right? I suspect this was well underway already when that happened.

Edit - Made curious by this post did some googling. I'm sure they are still building a ton of these new charging stations, but looks like they have slowed but not stalled.

WSJ article from September 17
https://www.wsj.com/podcasts/google-...

But they really did see a lag in growth at the beginning of the year compared to last year. May through August, which is the timeframe after the layoffs, their installations fell 28% compared to the same period a year earlier, and for the entire eight months of this year so far, they are down 11% over last year.

I would expect nothing less from our buddy @LeX2K . Haha 🖖🤓

Welp, didn't see this coming either.

My friend who just bought a brand new Chevy Spark last year just traded it in on a used 2014 Tesla Model S in mint condition with 50k miles.

I would ask him why he traded out of a brand new car but when he showed me the pics of his Tesla it was obvious. lol

There really is no comparison. Lol

I was once given a Spark as an insurance rental, and let's just say they are cars for people who need to get from A to B and care nothing about driving. It was as joyless to drive as it gets. I couldn't wait to return it and get my car back

Some have gotten close. My friend bought a Bolt EUV Redline (2nd highest trim) brand new, 2 years ago for $33,790 before federal/state incentives, $22,290 after. Base model would have been right at $20k.

Which is the one they just discontinued, Spark or Bolt?

I may have told everyone wrong, might have been a Bolt he traded for a Tesla.

He got it for near $22k in 2022-2023 if I remember and applied for every credit and incentive he could get.
