I'm sure I'd always buy and sell at the wrong times, so I tend to buy things with the intention to hold them for long periods of time, through thick and thin (with some exceptions). I watched my CRWD tumble like 30-40% and still held it. Now I'm back up like 15% overall.
So let me clarify, I was in the middle of assembling one of those tv units/media centers last night when I replied. I don't normally do "impulsive" trading, but in this case I saw TSLA way up, and sold about 200 shares, which is about 20 percent of my TSLA holdings. I said I made $11k, but I actually made $22k, but with taxes it's probably $11k. I'll probably put that money back into TSLA, I'm waiting for it to go down more.

I normally don't trade this way, but a coworker convinced me to sell some of my holdings, in this case it paid off, shortly after a selloff began and the stock dropped. The rest of my TSLA is @$299, I'll hold on to those shares long term

There are four of us that sit in that area, three of the guys just got Tesla's in the last two months, and one of them is over enthusiastic

While we are on Tesla, I'm betting Q4 is going to be their best quarter of 2024. I'm also leaning that the Model 3 is going to outsell the Model Y this last quarter. Remember my last prediction over PM? Trust me on this one

Well that’s the last thing we wanted to hear. Now that you’re back into TSLA…

My wife and I caught up with an extended family member for dinner last night. He's 80 years old and had never ridden in a Tesla. After dinner, we walked out towards the parking lot and unbeknownst to him I did the smart summon to have the car come pick us up. The look on his face when he realized the car had driven itself to us was priceless. Then, I used FSD to drive him the entire way from the restaurant to his resort (about 12 miles- 6 of which were on 95). He was smiling, laughing and just completely in awe - he kept saying "How in the world is it doing this?" I have to say FSD (12.5.4.2) on this trip blew me away. It handled several very interesting things flawlessly, including a bus being to my left in a 2-lane right turn lane and the car accelerated very slowly as it was anticipating the bus to possibly make a wide turn to make sure it wasn't coming into my lane. I also never had to touch the wheel (no "nags") on the entire trip.

I have to say of all of the times showing someone FSD, this was the most memorable. He was truly giddy from it. He couldn't wipe the smile off his face.

I’ve been using FSD more and more lately and the one thing that drives me a little crazy is it will move over to the left lane a little too early and just camp there since it will only be going a little faster than the car it is trying to pass and take too long to get back over. I end up taking over as cars start coming up behind me. Any of you notice that?
