It's really wonderful Lexus is finally answering the questions of so many past or longtime owners, per great discussion in this thread.
We have no kids, so I'll never have use for it, but hard working professionals and active grandparents who need the seating capacity, could use something like this for once. The engine lineup probably will be very sufficient.
Hopefully this debuts by June 8th, if it's supposed to be in dealers this September. Too bad it might not be offered internationally.
No offense here to several different posters, but is the world really going to revolve around whether an SUV has black D-Pillars or not? As I see it, if a company can successfully sell the Nissan Juke or Toyota C-HR, they can sell just about anything.
Of all the cars you could've used to defend your argument, you chose the two cars that actually failed in the US and were removed from the market... or was that your point the whole time

Add any product that has the Lexus spindle grille to the list. The Juke, C-HR, and spindle grille are atrocious.

Totally agreed! The hideous spindle grille has kept us from returning to Lexus. Hopefully with Akio gone, Lexus will focus on making sensible luxury vehicles again.
I’m in the market for a 3 row upgrade. Currently have an rx350. Had a 2020 odyssey elite before this but had the notorious crackling issue that couldn’t be fixed. Now looking for something that is quiet and comfortable on road trips. We do lots of highway driving and road trips with around 20k miles a year. And we do it with our kid in a car seat so the rx gets packed quickly. I’ve considered other vans but prices are meh. I’m sure I’ll have to get something before the TX releases but wouldn’t mind trading the rx for the TX in a year or two.
Noise isolation and road comfort are bigger on my list than performance. With so much driving, I don’t like arriving at destinations worn out.

If you can afford it, buy a BMW X7 or Mercedes GLS. Both tops on noise isolation and road comfort.

those really are at the top of my list honestly. I originally wanted an LX570 but actually feel it lacks in interior space. Other was a RR LWB.
But x7 and GLS are definitely at the top for me. Really want an LS460 type of experience. Doesn’t need to be S-class levels because that’s pinnacle for me. But as best as I can get for comfort and noise. I used to be wary of piling that kind of miles on a bmw or merc but things seem to have gotten better in terms of reliability.
