Default Need some advice on

Where in the lower mainland do I buy a battery...

like everyone else, i want a decent one that is decently priced...

There is a place called Edmonds battery that sells them for 68 bucks, but its there own brand name, and the ywarranty for 2 years.. but I dont know about this place...

Lordco offers a ~$100 AC Delco battery..

any advice would be awesome... thanks guys

yeah i've used a kirkland in my dad's car and it's worked reliably.

but what are you using it for? if you're running a big stereo, it's not going to hold up well

My current one came form Polar something-or-other (Polar Battery I think, mum knows for sure) on Boundary ... no issues, & somehow I keep ending up running aux w. the engine off a lot. cost = ~$100 ... it was like $9X.xx

kirkland batteries run from $65~100 depending on the model

but you should call in to check if they have the right one for your car first

what application are u using the battery for?

stock replacement, optima reds are good, you can find most for around $150-200. costco's arent bad either, they have a great return and warranty policy.

higher end, aimed more towards car audio, optima yellow tops. they are deep cycle no memory batteries meant to be able to be completely drained then recharged with no harm. there are a couple other brands that are the same style design. look around $250-300 for one.

how most of the warranties work are progressive. so depends on how many years uve used the battery, it will cost a certain amount to replace, just not the full cost. its like the same with tires.

there's JRS Auto on E Hastings that carries Interstate Batteries

interstate batteries have really high CCA ratings (cold cranking amps, higher the better)
http://www.canpages.ca/page/BC/vanco...o/4114254.html

or check out Polar Batteries like fayme said. its on Boundary (East side, Burnaby side). it is btwn 1st Ave and Hastings.

so car died last night.. had to leave it at SFU in WMX parking... harsh jinxed it... So i got a friend to bring me to another costco (the one on Production) to see if the had the 24F, turns out that 24F batteries are interchangeable with 35 ones...

Ended up buying a optima yellow top there... was 156.99 before tax... what do u guys think??? was this a better buy than the kirkland ones for 75.99???

ps. the optima one is a lot smaller than my old interstate one, so it might rattle around in my engine bay when i drive...
