YannG's 05 Lexus LS430 Build thread
I always wanted to go work at Toyota corporate. I hear it’s a great place to work.
A lot has changed since then. We’ve officially settled down in Dallas, Texas, and honestly, it’s been a great move for us. The area fits us really well — good balance of space, weather, and overall lifestyle. No complaints so far.
Work-wise, things have been going really well too. I’m with Toyota now, and it’s been a great place to land. Solid team, good environment, and I’ve been enjoying it a lot.
Regarding the LS430 — it’s still my daily, and it’s actually gotten a lot of attention at Toyota. So many people love the car and can’t believe it’s sitting at 224k.
I actually have a ton of footage of me doing the radiator replacement — I just need to sit down and put together a proper YouTube video at some point. For this job, I followed this very helpful DIY by @BradTank: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...ent-ls430.html
The radiator decided to start leaking in October 2025, so I replaced it with a Denso unit:
Part number: 221-4100

new radiator:

Drained the coolant and removed the radiator:

Plugged the transmission hoses than run into the radiator

Added some aftermarket foam on around the whole radiator as the old one was disintegrated.

Radiator back in:

Bleeding the cooling system:

Made sure the transmission hoses than run into the radiator were back on and not leaking.
