Hello,
Quick update : I finally got around to re-upholstering my driver seat with new to me (used) OEM upper and lower black leather. The process is relatively easy but just time consuming!
Torn leathers:
Removing the front seat :
Seat completely stripped: \
I re-used the foam cushion and only replaced the leathers. (no picture of the upper cushion process)
JDM grab handles put back in:
This was the "not so fun" part but I bought a hog ring kit on amazon and it came in extremely handy! First you have to remove the old hog rings with a lot of force, then get the new ones on - all whilst pushing down on the hard foam cushion and getting the hog ring pliers correctly aligned.
Looks so good Yann! Love your execution! I really need a lip kit and see that there is one that is 062 right now on eBay... I'm pretty tempted. Also need the roof spoiler...
I know it’s been a while! I’ve been enjoying the car and still using it as my daily. No major mods or changes—just regular maintenance like oil changes and basic upkeep.
Recently, I noticed a small drop of oil on my garage floor. Turns out, the oil was leaking from the oil filter bracket. I picked up a new gasket and replaced the original one, which had lasted an impressive 220k miles!
It was a straightforward job: jack up the car, drain the oil, remove the oil filter bracket, swap out the figure-eight seal, and put everything back together with a new oil filter and fresh oil.
Lastly, here are some pictures of the car in the snow. We had two snowfalls here in Atlanta, and the LS was so much fun to drive in!
Your car is bad *** man. thank you for posting the lip installation pictures. I just got my lip kit and getting ready to install it.
Do you by any chance have a part number for the dorman clips? I tried looking them up and there are several different sizes for Toyota.
What did you use for the rear bumper lip? Same clips or something else?
Thank you!!
Thanks for the kind words!
What clips are you talking about? The ones that go underneath the sideskirts?
No clips for the rear bumpers - only double sided tape + bolts on the screws.

I've had something for a few months that you might appreciate:

Hi cqHall—man, that LS600h L is beautiful—congrats!

My favorite LS. Makes me want to do the lip kit and trunk & roof spoiler.

Thank you.
