Default Eric's GS300 Storm-trooper Build

Purchased Dec 2015
GS300 69k Pearl White w/Beige leather

My kids call it a Storm-trooper so I guess that's what it is now!

Here is the lot picture from the online dealer add:

A week after I brought her home, cleaned it up. Removed black door stoppers and some smaller blind spot mirrors suck on the mirror glass.

First thing I did was add a strut tower bar.

Then the add hock GPS had to go.... picked up a used Pioneer off eBay but turned out it had it's own issues but was lucky enough the seller gave me a full refund after I returned it.

So many plans for this car. Since I sold my Vette this has become my new toy. I'm really struggling with what rim style and offset to go with.

Upgraded the tails with newer body style, much better looking. My wife says it doesn't look like a Honda anymore... lol

During my many journeys through these threads I came to find my spoiler to become more and more hideous every day. So off it came along with the lettering. I also picked up a few items from LeXUsFeEVa; UPRD axle back exhaust, RMM 3pc spoiler and Megan Roof wing.

The UPRD axle back installed.

The fever has hit hard and the mods just keep rolling in.

When I had the spoilers painted I went ahead and bought one of those cheap TRD grills off eBay and yeah.. the body shop had to basically fill most of it with resin to stiffen it up. But I was able to install it and I think it looks much better with the grill painted graphite rather than leaving it aluminum.

Changed the lighting out to HID the low beams 6k and the fogs to 3k. Also changed the markers to clear euro style with amber LED and front markers to LED.

One of my many mistakes were to order a set of Aristo OEM pedal upgrades but come to find out the gas pedal is way different so I had to do some heavy research and found the Toyota Soarer uses the same gas pedal. I was able to locate a shop in Japan willing to ship and whalla! perfect fit!

The side markers, I also wet sanded and buffed the headlights to remove all the pitting from the years of sand and gravel on these totally awesome Virginia roads (hint of sarcasm).

Got board and decided the beige dash was really boring so I picked up a sport gauge surround and a black center vent insert. I tested just the black center vent and found it was too back so I got creative and swapped the beige vent grills into the black housing and to me it looks great. Now I have to find black driver and passenger vents to do the same thing. I also broke down and bought a new Alpine nav system and shift handle from an RX.

Sooooo, what's next?

Things I have:
TEIN Flex Z 16 way adjustable Coilovers
TTE style lip (should have bought OE but this was under $100 figured I'd try it out)
Steering rack poly bushings
Sway bar poly bushings

Waiting to install the coilovers and bushings until I figure out what rims and tire combo I'm going to go with.
Might install the lip just to see what it fits like being a reproduction. If it fits like crap I'll just have to drop some dough for a new lip and skirts.

Well I dunno, I guess It will go until I get bored I guess. I know I'm dropping it with a staggered set up. Maybe VIP with a drift influence. Since the motor only has 69k miles I'm gonna drive the snot out of it until I start running into problems. Then I'll look into a GTE build. I just installed a Fozgate 600watt 5 channel amp today. Only hooked up the sub for now. I'll hook up the others when I change out the door speakers.

So much to do and with ADD it's hard to focus on one area at a time!!

Yeah, I'm also tossing around the idea of picking up an R32 gtr from japaneseclassics down in Richmond. I used to have one when I was stationed in Japan back in 01-04.

Nice, they are the ones I bought my tails from! I would like to see if they could find my old GTR but I know the guy I sold it too wrapped it around a lamp post in Misawa...

So there are so many offsets and it makes my mind spin thinking about them. I want something that brings the wheel just out too the edge of the fender where all I have to do is a light roll up front and a quarter trim in the rear. Oh, and NO spacers.

Any ideas?

Was thinking about these:

Are you stuck on 19's? I'm running 18 x 9.5 et +15 and they sit perfect without spacers. Just need to roll the fenders . Subscribed to this. Clean ride.

No totally, it depends on the wheel. I like yours with the solid lip. Not a fan of the stepped lip look. I also prefer staggered.

You can always relip for the solid lip. There's a guy on here running
18x10 -1
18x11 -5.
Looks super sweet imo.
