I called them just to make sure they had it and they told me that the one I ordered was the last one in the states at any of the warehouses they are connected too. It originally comes from Taiwan so if you have any connections or know anyone who can order by proxy from a dealer in Taiwan hooks us up because they have the Aristo in stock form in LHD!
Well I scrapped the idea of using the TTE copy lip because it fit so bad. I searched and searched for a couple months for a Greddy lip but which should only retail for around $250 max but the only places I could find one was on eBay or Yahoo JP and the shipping was just as much as the dang lip...forget that! So I bit the bullet and ordered a Greddy imitation lip by MagicDrift off of eBay for $150 shipped. I told myself if this one didn't fit right then I'm just going naked ie. no lip spoiler.
To my surprise the MagicDrift lip fit perfect! I mean really perfect where all I have to do is drill the holes to attach in the wheel well and slap on some 3M tape or plastic rivets, haven't decided on that one yet.
Here are some pics of the fitment (it's tight, real tight)!
Hey everyone, picked up my lip and skirts from the paint shop yesterday and well the itch was way to bad I NEEDED them on! So I spent all day installing them and wiring up the puddle lights. The puddle lights are kinda hard to see because it's not fully dark yet but you can catch a glimpse of them directly below the skirts!
Pretty good deal and the LEDs will last a whole lot longer than neon. Well that is for those of us that remember and had the old neon kits in the 90's.
i dunno why White paint never seems to match, maybe its just me but the shade is off on the side skirts and lip
Yes, the shade is slightly off because the paint is 17 years old and paint on plastic fades faster than metal. But, thank you for your concern. For a 17 year old car that cost me around 6 grand, I'm not too concerned about the paint shop perfectly matching the parts and blending them into the doors.
If it was worth $100k I would be more concerned. But alas this is my fun commuter car where my wife cares less about what I do to it. Which opens the discussion up to "what's next"?
I'm thinking larger sway bars? Maybe Cusco? All I know at this point is they have to be solid. If the car was a thousand or two pounds lighter maybe hollow but I'm thinking solid.
Oh, I may end up having the whole car resprayed in the end but not until all my little projects (GTE??) are done AND when I find another commuter car to take it's place.
Until then the modding continues and so do the rock chips... yay I-95.
