Dang Ron, you always like 2 steps in front of me. Haha.
I was thinking of that vortex generator too but thought I’d use the money better else where. Plus the car doesn’t really over heat, even on track, so I wasn’t in a hurry to work on cooling.
Looks great on your hood though. Good weave match.

You’ll def need to make a new vid of exhaust note. So curious what novel headers plus icode will sound like. Gonna be awesome.
Always thought your car needed a lil more growl to show off. I know mesti set up was too loud but think this time will be perfect.

When you gonna put seats in???

Yeah, I can't wait to hear it with the headers too! It's gonna be a while since I'm sending them out to Header Shield to get some thermal wrap. I plan to work on installing the seats, or maybe at least the driver's side this fall/winter when the car gets stored for the rest of the year.

Ron

Mocking up the headers to see how everything fits before sending them out for coating.

Man I can’t believe you gonna do all that on your back!
20 year’s ago i might have thought about it. Now, no way.

Curious about your thoughts about the power/torque of novel headers.
You gonna dyno at all?
Heard their headers actually lose a bit of Hp but if it isn’t substantial, think I would trade that for the sound!
If I didn’t already have my ppe, I would def be getting novel ones.
Jealous...

I think doing it this way is actually better for me instead of standing up, 3 shoulder surgeries over the last 15 years
Novel loses power over stocK? I haven't heard that. I know people say power isn't as much as PPE el, but that's ok, as long as I get the sound I want. But power loss over stock would be a NO for me..

Wonder what you think about the mounts once installed. I didn’t notice a huge diff as far as response. Do know the car’s ride quality definitely got rougher. But mine’s not a road car so I don’t care that much.

I also curious what your car weights at this point.
I’ll be going back to Roebling raceway in Nov. They have a four corner scale so I’ll know soon. Last time I weighed it, think it was around 3900 with me in it.

I'm going with "stiffer" engine mounts because of the reduced clearance with the headers. But, I figured I really don't want to go too stiff, like the ones offered by another company. I think the FIGS is kind of in the middle between that and the factory ones. I wouldn't mind a little rougher ride as I only drive it the summer, and have been thinking of trying to track it sometime. I'd like to weigh the car when I get done with the header install, I honestly don't expect a drastic weight loss though.

Extended the O2 wire harness so the plugs will be more accessible after headers are installed.

Got skills!!
Where was the original novel one located? Confused.
Looks like that would only read one pipe’s a/f ?
or is the merge cavity all open inside?
Mind posting a pic of it looking into the merge? Curious.

That iCode Ti mid pipe so purty. Wish I sprung for the Ti mesti way back when. Too late now, 3 mid pipe’s later...

The original bungs are only on the rear runners, definitely will only read the 2 rear cylinders, they will be capped. This is the best option without having them almost next to the secondary O2’s and read all cylinders. The merge collectors are all open inside.

as close as they can be to the midpipe flange and still able to weld in between.
