So since your car has VDIM you don't need to change any harness incide the cabin? You don't have to take your dashboard off?Everything else is the same?

There are a few things that had to be done inside the cabin as well.

I got the wiring harness almost completely installed before getting the engine back into the car. Still waiting for that fuel line to come in, but it can be installed with the engine in the car (it is holding up installing the intake manifold though). There's definitely a lot less going on in the bay now though!

Since he is using the same transmission I think he should be able use the current drive shaft, and I know he has an lsd, so i dont think he would replace the differential.

I'm mostly keeping the IS250 stuff, but I have changed my differential and gearing previously, so it's not quite the same as the IS250 would be. Europe has different parts than we do for the differential as well I believe. I haven't checked extensively.

I did get my hood label installed! It's very exciting, haha, but it is likely all that will happen today. No time!

Jeff
Hey, even with the original motor I hear that sticker is good for at least an extra 5 HP.

Interesting and very good work keep it up

Just wondering if it would it be easier to to swap the is250 MT transmission in a AT is350 or the engine is350 engine in a MT is250 ? Or is it the same amout of work ?

Personally I think swapping the engine in an IS250 would be easier than swapping the transmission in an IS350.

Jeff

PS: Stickers always add at LEAST 5hp.

I guess MT transmission has different mounting points as opposed to the is250 engine having same mounting ponts as the is350 engine right ?

It is indeed much easier to swap the engine in an IS250 manual than to swap the transmission in an IS350 auto. The autos have a different centre cockpit to the manual which you'll have to cut away to make space in the auto. Not 100% sure about the mounting points though... pretty sure they're similar.

Correct. The driveline behind the engine is one of the main differences between IS250 MT and IS350 AT, the other being the interior of course.

Trans mounting would likely be okay with the right mount and stuff, but the rear subframe is much different between the two.
