hey Jeff, are you gonna do a full write up of everything someone would need to do the swap? doesnt need to be step by step (but would be great) but at least parts list and who we would need to contact to do ECU reprogram

No updates yet, no. Was in Hawaii for a bit and then Christmas and now New Years. Slowed progress a bit, lol. I had to order one last hose that I needed and then it should be all mechanically installed. Still need to put the interior back together as well I suppose. Once all that is done I'll get the ECU ready for programming.

Going to order the brakes today though I think. Just deciding which ones to get....

Since your build demonstrates what OEM swaps are possible on the 2IS platform, perhaps a brake upgrade to the 4th Gen GS350 F-Sport brakes would be a good candidate?

We've talked about the potential of the 4GS350 F-Sport brake swap on the forums before but I'm not sure if anyone has actually made this happen. Perhaps you can do the honors of being the first and also add another unique OEM+ upgrade to your mod list.

Why don't you just install ISF brakes.I believe it's the perfect upgrade for you!

The 2-piece 14-inch setup from the RWD GS350/RC350 F-Sport is definitely one of my options and I have a parts list for the conversion on a 2IS, my hesitation is whether or not I want to be forced to run 18" or larger wheels, especially in the winter, and needing to get an alloy spare tire for the aluminum hat. Still, I'm considering it heavily.

IS F brakes likely won't happen.

Yep! https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...0-f-sport.html

Still had yet to pull the trigger. Just working on the all-out engine performance at the moment. But here's a deal if you're looking for a slightly used set : http://www.ebay.com/itm/321803572124?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
The only thing I've been unable to narrow down is the closeness in design/dimensions is the knuckles on both cars.

The knuckles are very different, as such the backing plates won't work, however IS F ones will likely work in place, they use the same calipers and rotors as the IS350 on non-F-Sport models, so the mounting should be the same as far as that goes.

If they didn't require 18-inch wheels and an alloy spare I'd already have them. :\

So I was in Hawaii for a bit over a week on vacation and then Christmas happened, but work is underway again. Engine is basically assembled now, save for a hose. Should hopefully be able to send the ECU for programming next week I hope!

New brakes and a new windshield also going to happen in the next few days as well.

Yeah, I actually already had it before, though the pipe had to be replaced for the 2GR.
