2025 Will Be the Final Year for the Lexus RC and RC F
Lexus bids farewell to the RC F with a new Final Edition while the regular RC sees minor changes for its final model year.
The world is losing another naturally aspirated V8 performance car. Let’s all take a moment. We hate to learn of news like this. But we all know that this is the direction the world is headed towards, so it is not surprising. Lexus announced today that 2025 will be the final year for the RC and RC F models. The RC will only see minor changes for its swan song year. However, the RC F will ride off into the sunset as the RC F Final Edition. If you want a 2025 RC F the Final Edition will be the only grade available. And it is going to be expensive.
The Lexus RC has been a part of the Lexus lineup for the past ten years. Over 90,000 examples have been sold during that time across 62 countries and regions. However, in recent years RC sales have diminished. In 2024 Lexus sold only 1,854 RC models. That makes it the second lowest-selling Lexus car in the lineup. It beat out the LC by only about 400 units. By comparison, Lexus sold 43,156 ES units in 2024. So, while the RC is a fine car that we have enjoyed as part of the Lexus lineup, it was not a volume seller.
RC F Final Edition
The lovely 2UR-GSE V8 will be making the same 472 horsepower as before. Although Lexus claims that it “has been further refined to deliver a smooth-revving feel and exhilarating engine sound.” Lexus also fiddled with the rear differential and adjusted the backlash to improve acceleration and deceleration responses. Although Lexus quotes the 0 to 60 time as 4.2 seconds which is the same as the 2024 car. You can get your RC F Final Edition in one of four colors: Incognito, Radiant Red, Sonic Iridium, and Ultra White. The Final Edition car is based on the 2024 RC F with the Carbon Package. That $17,775 option included items like a black carbon fiber interior, carbon fiber roof, front spoiler, speed-activated rear wing, and more.
The RC F Final Edition rolls on 19-in BBS alloy wheels with red brake calipers peeking out from behind them. Inside there is a black and red leather/Ultrasuede trimmed interior. A Mark Levinson premium audio system and a 10.3-in. touchscreen is also standard. The finishing touch is a carbon fiber “Final Edition” emblem on the front console signifying each car’s production number in this limited run. Lexus did not say how many of these Final Edition cars will be built. They just say it will be limited. It is priced accordingly. The RC F Final Edition will have a $94,000 MSRP including the delivery, processing, and handling (DPH) fee. A 2024 RC F with the Carbon Package retailed for $86,595.
2025 Lexus RC Changes and Pricing
Changes to the regular RC models are minimal. The available orange brake calipers on F SPORT RWD models have changed to red. Aside from that minor tweak the 2025 cars are the same as the 2024 models. Pricing for each 2025 model is below. Prices include the $1,175 DPH fee.
| Model | 2025 MSRP |
| RC 300 | $46,445 |
| RC 300 F SPORT | $51,065 |
| RC 300 AWD | $49,135 |
| RC 300 AWD F SPORT | $53,355 |
| RC 350 | $49,375 |
| RC 350 F SPORT | $53,995 |
| RC 350 AWD | $51,540 |
| RC 350 AWD F SPORT | $55,720 |
| RC F Final Edition | $94,000 |
The least expensive RC F in 2025 becomes the $94,000 Final Edition. That is a big step up from the $68,820 2024 RC F starting price. However, the bigger message here is that naturally aspirated V8 engines are going away. If you want a new one, you need to act fast.
