Default Paint Correction before and after

Just got my 25 LC convertible back from my local vendor who specializes in paint protection and correction. My car only has 2,300 miles so it’s interesting how the factory paint is far from perfect.

You put 2,300 miles (and multiple washes) on this before paint correction comparison?

2300 miles is not from factory. It doesn’t take much to get swirls on the clear coat. Just a couple of washes would do that.
TBH, nobody looks at a car with a high power LED lights lol. Only the detailed would do that to show you that you need it.
Granted, I picked up my car at 5miles(or something like that) and drove to the detailer the same weekend to get level 1 paint correction and ppf.

No washes by me. The dealer may have washed it once at delivery. It’s never seen rain.

My point is that factory paint needs correction.

Why did you get your 5 mile LC paint corrected if nobody looks at a car with a high power LED light except a detailer?

Why didn't you get the paint correction/PPF when you bought the car new?

You have driven 2,300 miles and never once washed your vehicle?

Only you drive your car from the dealer to the paint corrector. I waited for 2,300 miles.

I keep it garaged and I use indoor covers on both my LCs. I don’t drive them in the rain. The less you wash your car the better, unless it’s really dirty.

I have an IS 300 as a daily driver.

Nowhere near as bad as on most European luxury car brands...

My white LC needed zero paint correction when I had it PPF'd/ceramic'd when I bought it new. Kinda crazy as it was essentially flawless from the factory. Even the PPF shop was surprised.

Got lucky, I guess.

The 'before' pictures are the result of improper washing/drying of the car and is not indicative of the paint as it came from the factory.

I would suggest reading-up on proper paint care, or your car's paint will look again like your 'before' pictures.

I happen to know how to maintain my cars. I have never machine washed either of my LCs. The one you refer to was purchased with 2,300 miles but had not been machine washed. Any reputable paint correction outlet will tell you that even brand new cars need paint correction out of the factory. But you seem to know everything. Do you even own an LC? You have no signature or details.

You sound like a Porsche owner to me.

I would also suggest you don’t assume anything.

Im curious, where in Wisconsin do you live?

I’ve owned two LC500s, and had them both to my detailer for PPF work as soon as I got them. On both cars, a white 2021 I bought with 1,200 miles, and a red 2024 with 8 miles, my detailer mentioned that no paint corrections were needed when I asked. He stated that the paints was top notch (he did the same pointing-the-light trick). Given that his business is to make money from more work, I don’t see any reasons why he would make this up. I’m quite happy with the paint quality on these LCs.

No one has to 'assume anything' after looking at your 'before' pictures to know that someone grossly neglected its finish.

Perhaps it was the prior owner who had it for 2,300 miles? But if it were, why did you buy it when in such poor condition?

I've honestly never seen any model 2025 looking like that, and, find it mildly concerning that you're implying the car left the factory in such poor condition.

If you are interested, there are many YouTube videos that inform/show how to properly wash and dry the car without marring the finish one iota, thus negating the need to bring it back to your detailer the following year. And BTW, he did do a nice job.

I understand you being 35 and thinking you know everything about, well just about everything.

I’ll just call you Earl Scheib since you are the worlds auto paint expert. I sense you don’t own an LC, since they are expensive. But some day maybe if you save up you can afford one.

I laugh that you are mildly concerned about my car situation. It’s very amusing.

I highly suggest you go on YouTube and learn how to be a man.

Looking so forward to your reply.
